Anna Sinelnikova

Anna Sinelnikova – The Founder

Anna was born in Samara, which is the sixth largest Russian city located on the Volga river. Anna believes there is great potential for developing Russo-British business and cultural links further for the benefit of both our countries. Anna is a chartered financial planner. She provides independent advice to individuals and companies on their pensions, investments and tax issues. She says she loves her job as it gives her an opportunity to help people achieve their goals!

As the Secretary of the Russia Midlands Business Club, Anna deals with the day to day running of the club, communication with the members and partners, organisation of events, club’s finances, and also takes an active role in planning Club’s strategies.

Anna loves spending time with her little son, who is a very active boy! She loves travelling, too. Anna is always active, going somewhere or doing something, which is, luckily, her son’s idea of fun, too!

Tim Jelley

Tim Jelley – Co-chair

Tim is Export Explorer Founder, Tim Jelley, experienced & skilled exporter in his own right in the fmcg (fast moving consumer goods) sectors for major UK drinks companies since the early 80’s selling globally including Russia in the early 90’s

Formerly an International Trade Adviser with 16 years experience in all aspects only global trade & advising to multi-nationals, SME’s to consultants on vast variety of consumer & product lines with UK Trade & Investment, the UK’s government agency to assist UK exporters Travelled extensively throughout all of Europe, USA, Far East & Russia

Tim believes in enjoying life to the full and he loves walking and gardening. He also undertakes charity work as a patient voice for the national charity Beating Bowel Cancer.

Svetlana Ford

Svetlana Ford – Co-Chair

Svetlana Ford is a Software Consultant and Director of TechToolBox Limited. Coming from Novosibirsk, Siberia and now running a company in the UK she has a personal interest in Anglo-Russian business development. Through the TechToolBox Ltd she provides IT services to the Club.

Svetlana enjoys life to the full. She loves tennis, aerobics, swimming, travel, meeting new people and socialising. Most of all, she loves spend time with her lovely family and friends

Rachel Farmer

Rachel Farmer

Rachel is director and lead consultant of Nottingham-based RSF Consultancy. She specialises in cross-cultural consultancy, training and executive coaching and loves teaching basic business Russian with a cross-cultural twist to UK businesses trading with Russia. She also works in Russia training expats in global companies and working with international teams. For many years she taught Russian in schools, colleges, prisons and at the University of Nottingham and she has written several popular language courses for beginners.

In short, she is an enthusiast for all things Russian, an enthusiasm that began when she first studied Russian at school. She spends many happy hours researching Russian culture and business and has written a PhD on a contemporary Russian writer, Voinovich. Rachel says “I am on the committee of the Russia Midlands Business Club for the opportunity to meet with people who are interested in my favourite subject – Russia!” In her free time Rachel likes travel, going for long walks, reading, creative writing, world cinema and food.

Sue Nattrass

Sue Nattrass

Sue is Manager of Enterprise Europe Network Midlands and responsible for delivery within the East Midlands. Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) is the regional gateway to the Network serving both the East and West Midlands regions of England.

EEN help companies win business in Europe by providing access to the right research in order to beat the competition and has offices in more than 50 countries in Europe and beyond including Russia. EEN Russia operate in 35 regions including Moscow.

Sue enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, reading and is a member of her local historic society.

Yelena McCafferty

Yelena McCafferty

Yelena moved to the UK from Russia in 2001 and set up Talk Russian, a specialist Russian translation company. Talk Russian provides quality translation and interpreting services to both corporate clients and individuals.

Yelena is proud to be a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, one of the professional organisations for translators in the UK. She works with a team of other linguists specialising in different industry areas, which guarantees that each project is completed by an expert in-house. Along with document translations, Talk Russian provides Russian interpreters for any meetings, presentations, trade shows and seminars both in the UK and Moscow. Yelena joined the Russia Midlands Business Club to help companies trading with Russia or starting in the Russian market with any language support they may need. When Yelena finds time off work, she devotes most of it to her young son.

Juliet Pask

Juliet Pask

Juliet is Manager of East Midlands International Trade Association (emita). Emita was established to promote international trade and export expertise amongst the region’s businesses and achieves this through delivering a monthly programme of events. The events provide existing exporters, and those aspiring to trade internationally, with a platform for networking and an information exchange.

Juliet co-ordinates the day to day running of the Association and became involved with the Russia Midlands Business Club to assist in promoting the opportunities open to East Midlands’ businesses in this exciting and potentially lucrative market. In her free time, Juliet enjoys keeping fit but can often be tempted away from this to see friends or go to the cinema. She also loves travelling and spends a lot of time reading about her next holiday destination!

Suzy Bolton

Suzy Bolton

Suzy is an International Trade Adviser with UK Trade & Investment, the UK government export support organisation. She gained her international trade experience through working as export manager for Courtaulds Textiles, having studied Russian at university. She visited the Former Soviet Union in the 1980s. She advises companies in trading overseas, developing practical action plans, and providing access to UK Trade & Investment services.

In her free time, Suzy enjoys playing tennis, walking, skiing and travel.
